2 Tous les faits concernant sa puissance et ses exploits, et les détails sur la grandeur à laquelle le roi éleva Mardochée, ne sont-ils pas écrits dans le livre des Chroniques des rois des Mèdes et des Perses ?
3 Car le Juif Mardochée était le premier après le roi Assuérus ; considéré parmi les Juifs et aimé de la multitude de ses frères, il rechercha le bien de son peuple et parla pour le bonheur de toute sa race.
Mardochée … le premier après. Mardochée atteignit le sommet de l’échelle des hommes d’État internationaux d’origine juive, à l’instar de Joseph, qui occupa le second rang à la cour égyptienne (#Ge 41:37-45), et de Daniel qui fut apprécié à la fois par les Babyloniens (#Da 2:46-49 ; #Da 5:29) et par les Mèdes et les Perses (#Da 6:28).
parla pour le bonheur. Moins de dix ans plus tard (vers 465 av. J.-C.), Assuérus serait assassiné. On ne sait rien de plus à propos d’Esther et de son cousin, mais ce que Mardochée a pu faire en faveur d’Israël durant moins d’une décennie, Jésus-Christ l’accomplira pour toute l’éternité en tant que Prince de la paix (#Esa 9:5-6 ; #Za 9:9-10).

2 All the facts concerning his power and his exploits, and the details of the greatness to which the king raised Mordecai, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of the Medes and the Persians?
3 For the Mordecai Jew was first after King Ahasuerus; Considered among the Jews, and loved by the multitude of his brethren, he sought the good of his people and spoke for the happiness of his whole race.
Mordecai, the first after. Mordecai reached the top of the ranks of Jewish international statesmen, like Joseph, who was second in the Egyptian court (# 41: 37-45), and Daniel Appreciated both by the Babylonians (#Da 2: 46-49; #De 5:29) and by the Medes and Persians (#Da 6:28).
Spoke for happiness. Less than ten years later (around 465 BC), Ahasuerus would be assassinated. No one knows more about Esther and her cousin, but what Mordecai could do for Israel for less than a decade, Jesus Christ will accomplish it for all eternity as a Prince Of peace (#Esa 9: 5-6; # 9a 9: 9-10).
