16 C’est pourquoi tu diras : Ainsi parle le Seigneur, l’Eternel : Si je les tiens éloignés parmi les nations, Si je les ai dispersés en divers pays, Je serai pour eux quelque temps un asile Dans les pays où ils sont venus.
17 C’est pourquoi tu diras : Ainsi parle le Seigneur, l’Eternel : Je vous rassemblerai du milieu des peuples, Je vous recueillerai des pays où vous êtes dispersés, Et je vous donnerai la terre d’Israël.
18 C’est là qu’ils iront, Et ils en ôteront toutes les idoles et toutes les abominations.
19 Je leur donnerai un même cœur, Et je mettrai en vous un esprit nouveau ; J’ôterai de leur corps le cœur de pierre, Et je leur donnerai un cœur de chair,
20 Afin qu’ils suivent mes ordonnances, Et qu’ils observent et pratiquent mes lois ; Et ils seront mon peuple, et je serai leur Dieu.
21 Mais pour ceux dont le cœur se plaît à leurs idoles et à leurs abominations, Je ferai retomber leurs œuvres sur leur tête, Dit le Seigneur, l’Eternel.

quelque temps. Dieu allait assurer protection et soutien à son peuple dispersé tout au long des 70 années précédant la restauration. Dieu n’avait pas abandonné son peuple (#Esa 8:14), et cela reste vrai en rapport avec la restauration à venir des Juifs (vv. #Ez 11:17-18).
11:19-20
un esprit nouveau. Dieu promit non seulement de restaurer le peuple d’Ezéchiel en le ramenant sur son ancienne terre, mais aussi d’appliquer la nouvelle alliance, avec toutes les bénédictions dont elle était porteuse. Cf. #Ez 36:25-28 et voir la note sur Jé 31:31-34 {==> "Jér 31:31"}.

16 Therefore say, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: If I want away among the nations, If I scattered them among the countries , I will be to them as a little sanctuary in the countries where they came from .
17 Therefore say, Thus saith the Lord God : I will gather you from among the nations , I will gather you from countries where you have been scattered , and I will give you the land of Israel .
18 This is where they go , and they shall take away all the idols and all the abominations.
19 I will give them one heart , and I will put a new spirit I will remove their body the heart of stone , And I will give them a heart of flesh,
20 That they may follow my statutes, and they observe and practice my statutes, and they shall be my people, and I will be their God.
21 But for those whose heart delights in their detestable things and their abominations , I will recompense their way upon their heads , saith the Lord GOD .

some time . God would provide protection and support to its dispersed throughout the 70 years preceding the restoration people. God had not abandoned his people (# Isa 8:14 ) , and this remains true in relation to the future restoration of the Jews ( vv. # Ez 11:17-18 ) .
11:19-20
a new spirit. God promised not only to restore the people of Ezekiel by reducing it to its ancient land , but also to apply the new covenant, with all the blessings that she carried . Ez 36:25-28 and see # see note on Jer 31:31-34 { == > " Jer 31:31 "} .
