1 ¶ La onzième année, le premier jour du mois, la parole de l’Eternel me fut adressée, en ces mots:
2 Fils de l’homme, parce que Tyr a dit sur Jérusalem : Ah ! ah ! Elle est brisée, la porte des peuples ! On se tourne vers moi, Je me remplirai, elle est déserte !
3 A cause de cela, ainsi parle le Seigneur, l’Eternel : Voici, j’en veux à toi, Tyr ! Je ferai monter contre toi des nations nombreuses, Comme la mer fait monter ses flots.
4 Elles détruiront les murs de Tyr, Elles abattront ses tours, Et j’en raclerai la poussière ; Je ferai d’elle un rocher nu ;

La onzième année. En 586 av. J.-C., la onzième année de la captivité de Jojakin, le dixième jour du cinquième mois, Jérusalem fut prise.

j’en veux à toi, Tyr! La description des jugements réservés à cette nation s’étend sur trois ch. (26-28), ce qui en dit long sur son importance aux yeux de Dieu. Cf. #Esa 23 ; #Am 1:9-10. Tyr était une ancienne ville phénicienne, puisqu’elle est mentionnée en #Jos 19:29 déjà. Pendant le règne de David, puis de Salomon, elle avait un grand rayonnement. Son roi Hiram était un ami de David (#2S 5:11), et il l’aida, de même que Salomon, dans ses travaux de construction (cf. #1R 5:1-12 ; #1Ch 14:1 ; #2Ch 2:3, #2Ch 2:11). Plus tard, des Tyriens vendirent des Juifs comme esclaves (cf. #Joe 3:4-8 ; #Am 1:9-10). Dieu susciterait « des nations nombreuses » pour envahir Tyr, centre du commerce méditerranéen (cf. #Ez 27:3), à travers une succession d’attaques comparées aux « flots ». Babylone assiégea Tyr de 585 à 573 av. J.-C.; plus tard, en 332 av. J.-C., ce fut au tour de l’armée grecque d’Alexandre le Grand. Babylone parvint à dévaster la partie côtière de la ville, mais nombre de ses habitants trouvèrent refuge dans une île fortifiée qui résista aux assauts. Les attaquants grecs rasèrent la ville jusqu’aux fondations, et tous les gravats furent jetés dans la mer, servant ainsi à construire une route de près de 800 m en direction de cette île. Avec, en outre, l’aide de navires, ils vainquirent les défenseurs de la forteresse en lançant un assaut dévastateur pour Tyr. Les prédictions des ch. #Ez 26:1-28:@ se réalisèrent littéralement avec une troublante précision.

¶ 1 The eleventh year, the first day of the month , the word of the LORD came unto me , saying :
2 Son of man, because Tyre has said against Jerusalem, 'Aha ! ah! It is broken , the door of the people! It turns to me , I fill it is deserted !
3 Because of this , thus says the Lord GOD : Behold, I am against you, O Tyre ! I will bring up many nations against you , as the sea causeth his waves .
4 And they shall destroy the walls of Tyre , and break down her towers , and I will also scrape her dust I will make her a bare rock ;

The eleventh year . In 586 BC . AD, the eleventh year of the captivity of Jehoiachin , the tenth day of the fifth month , Jerusalem was taken .

I am against you, O Tyre ! The description of the judgments reserved to the nation spans three c. (26-28) , which speaks volumes about its importance in the eyes of God. Esa see # 23; # Am 1:9-10 . Tyre was an ancient Phoenician city , as it is already mentioned # Jos 7:29 p.m. . During the reign of David and Solomon , she had a great impact. Hiram the king was a friend of David (# 2S 5:11 ) , and he helped , as Solomon in its construction (cf. 5:1-12 # 1R , # 1Ch 14:1 ; # 2Ch 2:3 , # 2Ch 2:11 ) . Later, Tyre sold as slaves of the Jews (cf. # Joe 3:4-8 ; # Am 1:9-10 ) . God would raise " many nations " to invade Tyre center of Mediterranean trade (cf. Ez # 27.3 ) through a succession of attacks compared to " waves." Babylon besieged Tyre from 585 to 573 BC. AD , and later in 332 BC. BC, it was the turn of the Greek army of Alexander the Great . Babylon managed to devastate the coastal part of the city, but many of its inhabitants took refuge in a fortified island that resisted the onslaught . Greek attackers razed the city to the foundation , and all debris were thrown into the sea, and used to construct a road about 800 meters towards the island. With further aid ships, they defeated the defenders of the fortress by launching a devastating attack to Tyre. Predictions c. # Ez 26:1-28 : @ literally realized with uncanny accuracy.
