ÉZÉKIEL 30 : 20 À 26 ***
20 ¶ La onzième année, le septième jour du premier mois, la parole de l’Eternel me fut adressée, en ces mots:
21 Fils de l’homme, j’ai rompu le bras de Pharaon, roi d’Egypte ; Et voici, on ne l’a point pansé pour le guérir, On ne l’a point enveloppé d’un bandage Pour le lier et le raffermir, Afin qu’il puisse manier l’épée.
22 C’est pourquoi ainsi parle le Seigneur, l’Eternel : Voici, j’en veux à Pharaon, roi d’Egypte, Et je lui romprai les bras, Celui qui est en bon état et celui qui est cassé. Et je ferai tomber l’épée de sa main.
23 Je répandrai les Egyptiens parmi les nations, Je les disperserai en divers pays.
24 Je fortifierai les bras du roi de Babylone, Et je mettrai mon épée dans sa main ; Je romprai les bras de Pharaon, Et il gémira devant lui comme gémissent les mourants.
25 Je fortifierai les bras du roi de Babylone, Et les bras de Pharaon tomberont. Et ils sauront que je suis l’Eternel, Quand je mettrai mon épée dans la main du roi de Babylone, Et qu’il la tournera contre le pays d’Egypte.
26 Je répandrai les Egyptiens parmi les nations, Je les disperserai en divers pays, Et ils sauront que je suis l’Eternel.

j’ai rompu le bras. Description figurée de l’action de Dieu: il retirerait toute puissance à l’Egypte au travers de Nebucadnetsar, ce qui déboucherait sur sa défaite et sa dispersion (vv. #Ez 30:23, #Ez 30:26).
30:22
je lui romprai les bras. Evocation autant de la défaite du pharaon Hophra (cf. #Jér 37:5ss) que de celle, antérieure, du pharaon Neco à Carkemisch (cf. #2R 24: 7 ; #Jér 46:2).
30:26 Il faut bien souvent être frappé de son jugement pour comprendre que l’Eternel est le vrai Dieu.

¶ 20 In the eleventh year , on the seventh day of the first month, the word of the LORD came unto me , saying :
21 Son of man, I have broken the arm of Pharaoh king of Egypt, and behold, there be bound up to be healed, hath not wrapped in a bandage to bind and the firm , order it to hold the sword .
22 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD : Behold, I am against Pharaoh king of Egypt, and will break his arms, He who is in good condition and one that is broken. And I will make the sword fall from his hand.
23 I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations , and will disperse them through the countries .
24 I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon, and put my sword in his hand: but I will break Pharaoh's arms , and he shall groan before him with the groanings dying.
25 I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon, and the arms of Pharaoh shall fall . And they shall know that I am the LORD , when I shall put my sword into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall turn against the land of Egypt .
26 I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations , and will disperse them through the countries , and they shall know that I am the LORD.

I broke my arm. Figurative description of the action of God, he would withdraw all power to Egypt through Nebuchadnezzar , which lead to his defeat and dispersion (vv. # Ezekiel 30:23 , Ezekiel 30:26 # ) .
30:22
I break his arm. Evocation as the defeat of Pharaoh Hophra (cf. Jer 37:5 ff # ) than anterior , Pharaoh Neco at Carchemish (cf. 2R # 24 : 7; # Jer 46:2 ) .
30:26 must often be struck judgment to understand that the Lord is the true God.
