ÉZÉKIEL 39 : 11 À 20 ***
11 En ce jour-là, Je donnerai à Gog un lieu qui lui servira de sépulcre en Israël, La vallée des voyageurs, à l’orient de la mer ; Ce sépulcre fermera le passage aux voyageurs. C’est là qu’on enterrera Gog et toute sa multitude, Et on appellera cette vallée la vallée de la multitude de Gog.
12 La maison d’Israël les enterrera, Afin de purifier le pays ; Et cela durera sept mois.
13 Tout le peuple du pays les enterrera, Et il en aura du renom, Le jour où je serai glorifié, Dit le Seigneur, l’Eternel.
14 Ils choisiront des hommes qui seront sans cesse à parcourir le pays, Et qui enterreront, avec l’aide des voyageurs, Les corps restés à la surface de la terre ; Ils purifieront le pays, Et ils seront à la recherche pendant sept mois entiers.
15 Ils parcourront le pays ; Et quand l’un d’eux verra les ossements d’un homme, Il mettra près de là un signe, Jusqu’à ce que les fossoyeurs l’enterrent Dans la vallée de la multitude de Gog.
16 Il y aura aussi une ville appelée Hamona. C’est ainsi qu’on purifiera le pays.
17 Et toi, fils de l’homme, ainsi parle le Seigneur, l’Eternel : Dis aux oiseaux, à tout ce qui a des ailes, Et à toutes les bêtes des champs : Réunissez-vous, venez, rassemblez-vous de toutes parts, Pour le sacrifice où j’immole pour vous des victimes, Grand sacrifice sur les montagnes d’Israël ! Vous mangerez de la chair, et vous boirez du sang.
18 Vous mangerez la chair des héros, Et vous boirez le sang des princes de la terre, Béliers, agneaux, boucs, Taureaux engraissés sur le Basan.
19 Vous mangerez de la graisse jusqu’à vous en rassasier, Et vous boirez du sang jusqu’à vous enivrer, A ce festin de victimes que j’immolerai pour vous.
20 Vous vous rassasierez à ma table de la chair des chevaux et des cavaliers, De la chair des héros et de tous les hommes de guerre, Dit le Seigneur, l’Eternel.

donnerai à Gog un … sépulcre. Les Israélites qui se dirigeaient vers l’est en venant de la Méditerranée avaient la mer dans le dos et la vallée de Jizreel devant eux. C’est là que l’on enterrera les corps. Les habitants de toute la région apporteront leur aide pour cette mise en terre, qui prendra sept mois. La description convient à l’époque qui, après le second avènement de Christ, s’étend jusqu’au début du millénium, puisque ceux qui font ce travail sont ceux qui entrent dans le royaume messianique (cf. #Ap 20:1-10).

la multitude de Gog. Héb. Hamon Gog. Au v. 16, une ville de cette région est appelée Hamona, littéralement « multitude » (cf. une idée similaire en #Joe 3:14
39:17-20
Dis aux oiseaux … bêtes des champs. Par sa parole, Dieu convoquera toutes les espèces de charognards et d’animaux carnivores pour consommer la chair des hommes tués, comme le décrit #Ap 19: 21.
39:17-18
grand sacrifice. Puisque Dieu décrit ce festin en termes de repas sacrificiel, les guerriers morts au combat (v. #Ez 39:19) sont décrits comme des béliers et autres animaux employés pour les holocaustes.

11 In that day I will give Gog a place that will serve as a tomb in Israel, the valley of the passengers on the east of the sea; This tomb close to passing travelers. This is where they bury Gog and all his multitude, and they shall call it The valley of Hamon Gog .
12 The house of Israel be burying , To cleanse the land and it will last seven months.
13 All the people of the land shall bury them , and it shall be to them a renown the day that I shall be glorified , saith the Lord GOD .
14 They choose men who are constantly traveling the country , and who bury with the help of the passengers those that remain upon the face of the earth, to cleanse it , and they will be looking seven months .
15 They roam the land , And when one seeth a man's bone , it will take nearly a sign , until the gravediggers have buried it in the valley of Hamon Gog .
16 There will also be a town called Hamonah . Thus they cleanse the land .
17 And thou, son of man, thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Say to the birds, everything that has wings , And to every beast of the field : Get together , come , gather all share , for the sacrifice which I sacrifice for you victims , a great sacrifice upon the mountains of Israel ! You shall eat flesh and drink blood .
18 Ye shall eat the flesh of the mighty, and drink the blood of the princes of the earth, of rams , lambs, goats , bulls fattened in Bashan .
19 You shall eat fat till ye be full, and drink blood until you are drunk , At this feast of victims I immolate for you.
20 You shall be filled at my table with horses and chariots, with mighty and all the men of war , saith the Lord GOD .

give Gog a ... grave. The Israelites who were heading eastward from the Mediterranean Sea were in the back and the Jezreel Valley before them. This is where the bodies are buried . The people of the entire region will provide assistance for this planting , which will take seven months. The description should be at the time that , after the second advent of Christ, extends to the beginning of the millennium , since those who do this work are those who enter into the Messianic kingdom (cf. Rev 20:1-10 # ) .

the multitude of Gog . Heb. Hamon Gog . In ver. 16 , a city of this region is called Hamonah , literally " many" ( cf. a similar idea in # Joe 3:14

Tell the birds ... beasts of the field . By his word , God shall call all species of carrion and carnivorous animals to consume the flesh of men killed , as described in # 19 Ap : 21.

great sacrifice. Since God describes this feast in terms of sacrificial meal , the fallen warriors (v. # Ez 39:19 ) are described as rams and other animals used for burnt offerings.
