ÉZÉKIEL 44 : 1 À 10 ***
1 ¶ Il me ramena vers la porte extérieure du sanctuaire, du côté de l’orient. Mais elle était fermée.
2 Et l’Eternel me dit : Cette porte sera fermée, elle ne s’ouvrira point, et personne n’y passera ; car l’Eternel, le Dieu d’Israël est entré par là. Elle restera fermée.
3 Pour ce qui concerne le prince, le prince pourra s’y asseoir, pour manger le pain devant l’Eternel ; il entrera par le chemin du vestibule de la porte, et il sortira par le même chemin.
4 ¶ Il me conduisit vers la porte du septentrion, devant la maison. Je regardai, et voici, la gloire de l’Eternel remplissait la maison de l’Eternel. Et je tombai sur ma face.
5 L’Eternel me dit : Fils de l’homme, sois attentif, et regarde de tes yeux ! Ecoute de tes oreilles tout ce que je te dirai au sujet de toutes les ordonnances de la maison de l’Eternel et de toutes ses lois ; considère attentivement l’entrée de la maison et toutes les issues du sanctuaire.
6 Tu diras aux rebelles, à la maison d’Israël : Ainsi parle le Seigneur, l’Eternel: Assez de toutes vos abominations, maison d’Israël !
7 Vous avez introduit dans mon sanctuaire des étrangers incirconcis de cœur et incirconcis de chair, pour profaner ma maison ; vous avez offert mon pain, la graisse et le sang à toutes vos abominations, vous avez rompu mon alliance.
8 Vous n’avez pas fait le service de mon sanctuaire, mais vous les avez mis à votre place pour faire le service dans mon sanctuaire.
9 Ainsi parle le Seigneur, l’Eternel : Aucun étranger, incirconcis de cœur et incirconcis de chair, n’entrera dans mon sanctuaire, aucun des étrangers qui seront au milieu des enfants d’Israël.
10 ¶ De plus, les Lévites qui se sont éloignés de moi, quand Israël s’égarait et se détournait de moi pour suivre ses idoles, porteront la peine de leur iniquité.

44:1-2
la porte extérieure … fermée. Le Seigneur est revenu du même côté que celui d’où il était parti (#Ez 10:18-19). Cette porte est tenue fermée pour honorer le fait que sa gloire est revenue par là et pour indiquer qu’elle ne repartira plus, au contraire de ce que relatent les ch. #Ez 8:1-11:@ (cf. #Ez 43:1-5). Cette porte, située à l’est du temple, ne doit pas être confondue avec la porte orientale de la ville qui est, aujourd’hui, ordinairement fermée (cf. #Ez 45:6-8).
44:3
le prince pourra s’y asseoir. Le terme de « prince » apparaît 18 fois dans les ch. #Ez 44:1-47:@. Il ne s’agit pas du Seigneur Jésus-Christ, mais d’une personne distincte de lui (cf. « manger le pain devant l’Eternel »). En effet, il offre des sacrifices pour ses péchés (#Ez 45:22) et a des fils (#Ez 46:16-18). Il ne peut entrer par la porte orientale, celle que le Seigneur a empruntée, mais est autorisé à aller et venir par la porte du vestibule, et à manger près d’elle. Il ne lui est pas permis de s’acquitter des fonctions sacerdotales (#Ez 45:17 ; voir la note sur 45:13-17 {==> "Ez 45:13"}), alors que le Messie le fera (cf. #Ps 110:4 ; #Za 6:12-13), et il doit adorer l’Eternel (#Ez 46:2). Le plus probable, c’est que ce « prince » n’est ni un sacrificateur ni le roi, mais un homme chargé d’administrer le royaume en tant que représentant du roi (le Seigneur Jésus-Christ) et des chefs des douze tribus d’Israël (#Ez 45:8 et la note {==> "Ez 45:8"}). Il appartiendra peut-être à la descendance de David.
44:5-9
considère attentivement l’entrée. Puisque la gloire du Seigneur remplit le temple, il est sanctifié (v. #Ez 44:4), et Dieu surveille le genre de personnes qui viennent lui rendre un culte. Les péchés du passé, tels que ceux décrits dans les ch. #Ez 8:1-11:@, ne doivent pas être répétés, et si tel est néanmoins le cas, ceux qui s’en rendent coupables doivent être exclus du temple. Seuls y auront accès ceux dont le cœur sera circoncis (#De 30:6 ; #Jér 4:4 ; #Ro 2:25-29), qu’ils appartiennent à Israël ou à toute autre nation (vv. #Ez 44:7, #Ez 44:9). Outre les Juifs, de nombreuses autres personnes entreront dans le royaume avec un corps non ressuscité: celles qui auront cru en Jésus-Christ et auront été prêtes pour sa venue. Ayant échappé au jugement, elles formeront la population du royaume et y auront des enfants. La circoncision du cœur caractérise une personne sincèrement désireuse de renoncer au péché et attachée au Seigneur (cf. #Jér 29:13). Dans le millénium, un Juif au cœur incirconcis sera assimilé à un « étranger » (v. #Ez 44:9). L’expression « incirconcis de chair » désigne les pécheurs, et « étranger » ceux qui rejettent le vrai Dieu.
44:10
les Lévites … porteront la peine de leur iniquité. Dieu établit certaines distinctions. Les Lévites issus d’hommes qui ont fait preuve d’infidélité avant le jugement ont la permission de servir dans le temple, mais ils ne peuvent offrir les sacrifices ni entrer dans le lieu très saint (vv. #Ez 44:11-14). Seuls les descendants de Tsadok sont autorisés à officier dans ces circonstances (vv. #Ez 44:15-16), en raison de la valeur que Dieu accorde à la fidélité passée de Tsadok (#1S 2:35 ; #2S 15: 24ss; #1R 1:32-40 ; #1R 2:26-35). 1 ¶ It brought me back to the outer gate of the sanctuary , from the east side . But it was closed .
2 And the LORD said to me : This gate shall be shut , it shall not be opened , and no one will , because the LORD God of Israel came by. It will remain closed.
3 As regards the prince, the prince may sit in it to eat bread before the LORD , and he shall enter by the way of the porch of the gate, and go out the same way.
4 ¶ And he brought me to the north gate before the house. I looked, and behold, the glory of the LORD filled the house of the LORD. And I fell on my face .
5 And the LORD said unto me, Son of man , listen , and see with your eyes ! Listen with your ears all that I say unto thee concerning all the ordinances of the house of the LORD and all its laws and considers carefully the entrance of the house and all the exits of the sanctuary.
6 Say to the rebellious, even to the house of Israel , Thus saith the Lord GOD : Enough of all your abominations , O house of Israel !
7 You have entered my sanctuary strangers , uncircumcised in heart and uncircumcised in flesh, to profane my house , when ye offer my bread, the fat and the blood of all your abominations , you have broken my covenant .
8 You have not kept the charge of my sanctuary , but you have made your place to service my sanctuary .
9 Thus saith the Lord God : No stranger , uncircumcised in heart and uncircumcised in flesh, shall enter into my sanctuary, of any stranger that is among the children of Israel.
10 ¶ And the Levites who went far from me, when Israel went astray and turned away from me after their idols , shall bear their iniquity.

44:1-2
the outer door ... closed. The Lord has returned the same side as that from which he had started (# Ez 10:18-19 ) . This door is kept closed to honor the fact that his glory is back there and to indicate that it no longer will leave , contrary to what the recount ch . # Ezekiel 8:1-11 : @ (cf. Ez # 43:1-5 ) . This door , located east of the temple, not to be confused with the eastern gate of the city which is now usually closed ( cf. Ez # 45:6-8 ) .
44:3
the prince may sit . The term " prince " appears 18 times in ch . # Ez 44:1-47 : @ . It is not the Lord Jesus Christ , but a separate person from him (cf. " eat bread before the Lord" ) . Indeed, he offered sacrifices for his sins (# Ez 45:22 ) and the son ( Ez 46:16-18 # ) . He can not enter through the eastern door , that the Lord has borrowed , but is allowed to come and go through the door of the hall , and dining near her. There he was not allowed to perform priestly functions (# Ez 45:17 ; see note on 45:13-17 { == > " Ezekiel 45:13 "}) , while the Messiah will do (see . # Ps 110:4 ; # Za 6:12-13 ) , and he must worship the Lord ( Ez 46:2 # ) . Most likely, is that this "prince" is neither a priest nor king , but a man responsible for administering the kingdom as a representative of the King ( the Lord Jesus Christ) and the heads of the twelve tribes Israel ( Ezekiel 45:8 # and note { == > " Ez 45:8 "}) . It may belong to the lineage of David .
44:5-9
carefully considers the input. Since the glory of the Lord filled the temple , he is sanctified (v. # Ez 44:4 ) , and God oversees the kind of people who come to worship him . The sins of the past, such as those described in ch . # Ezekiel 8:1-11 : @ must not be repeated , and if that is the case , however , those who are guilty should be excluded from the temple. Alone will have access to those whose heart is circumcised ( # of 30:6 , Jer 4:4 # , # Ro 2:25-29 ) , they belong to Israel or any other nation (vv. # Ez 44 : 7 # Ez 44:9 ) . In addition to the Jews , many others enter the kingdom with a non- resurrected body : those who believe in Jesus Christ and have been ready for his coming. Having escaped the judgment , they form the population of the kingdom , and there will be children. Circumcision of the heart features a sincerely willing to renounce sin and attached to the Lord (cf. Jer 29:13 # ) person . In the millennium, a Jew uncircumcised heart shall be considered a "foreign" (v. # Ez 44:9 ) . The term " uncircumcised in flesh " refers to sinners, and "foreign" those who reject the true God.
44:10
the Levites ... shall bear their iniquity. God makes certain distinctions . The Levites from men who have demonstrated infidelity before judgment are permitted to serve in the temple, but they can not offer sacrifices or enter the most holy place (vv. # Ez 44:11-14 ) . Only the descendants of Zadok are allowed to officiate in these circumstances (vv. # Ez 44:15-16 ) , because of the value God places on past loyalty of Zadok (# 1S 2:35 ; 2S # 15: 24ss , # 1R 1:32-40 ; # 1R 2:26-35 ) .
