¶ Lorsque quelqu’un offrira à l’Éternel un sacrifice d’actions de grâces : S’il offre du gros bétail, mâle ou femelle, il l’offrira sans défaut, devant l’Éternel.

Le sacrifice d’actions de grâces symbolisait la paix et la communion entre l’adorateur sincère et Dieu (en tant qu’offrande volontaire). C’était le troisième sacrifice volontaire dont l’Éternel appréciait la fumée odorante (#Lé 3:5), et le corollaire approprié de l’holocauste d’expiation et de l’offrande végétale de consécration. Il symbolisait le fruit de la réconciliation rédemptrice entre un pécheur et Dieu (cf. #2Co 5:18).
2 Il posera sa main sur la tête de la victime, qu’il égorgera à l’entrée de la tente d’assignation ; et les sacrificateurs, fils d’Aaron, répandront le sang sur l’autel tout autour.
3 De ce sacrifice d’actions de grâces, il offrira en sacrifice consumé par le feu devant l’Éternel: la graisse qui couvre les entrailles et toute celle qui y est attachée ;
la graisse. Toute la graisse était consacrée à l’Éternel (vv. #Lé 3:3-5, #Lé 3:9-11, #Lé 3:14-16).
4 les deux rognons, et la graisse qui les entoure, qui couvre les flancs, et le grand lobe du foie, qu’il détachera près des rognons.
5 Les fils d’Aaron brûleront cela sur l’autel, par-dessus l’holocauste qui sera sur le bois mis au feu. C’est un sacrifice consumé par le feu, d’une agréable odeur à l’Éternel.
6 ¶ S’il offre du menu bétail, mâle ou femelle, en sacrifice d’actions de grâces à l’Éternel, il l’offrira sans défaut.

10 les deux rognons, et la graisse qui les entoure, qui couvre les flancs, et le grand lobe du foie, qu’il détachera près des rognons.
11 Le sacrificateur brûlera cela sur l’autel. C’est l’aliment d’un sacrifice consumé par le feu devant l’Éternel.
l’aliment. Le sacrifice était destiné à symboliser un repas entre Dieu et l’adorateur, où la paix et l’amitié étaient incarnées par le partage de la nourriture.
12 Si son offrande est une chèvre, il la présentera devant l’Éternel.

17 C’est ici une loi perpétuelle pour vos descendants, dans tous les lieux où vous habiterez : vous ne mangerez ni graisse ni sang.
ni graisse ni sang. Les détails donnés dans le ch. définissent clairement la graisse à brûler et à ne pas manger. Ainsi, ce qui adhérait aux autres parties ou y était mélangé pouvait être mangé. A l’instar du reste de la loi mosaïque, il y avait aussi des avantages liés à la santé.

male or female. It was possible to offer a female, unlike the case of the Holocaust (cf. Lev # 1: 3-9).

3: 1-17 See instructions to priests in Lev # 7: 11-36. The thanksgiving sacrifice symbolized peace and communion among the sincere worshiper and God (as an offering voluntary). It was the third voluntary sacrifice which the Lord appreciated the fragrant smoke (# Lev 3: 5), and the appropriate corollary to the holocaust of expiation and vegetable offering of consecration. It symbolized the fruit of the redemptive reconciliation between the sinner and God (cf. 2 Cor 5:18 #).
2 He shall lay his hand on the head of the victim, and kill it at the entrance of the tent of meeting; and the priests, son of Aaron shall sprinkle the blood on the altar.
3 From the sacrifice of thanksgiving, it will offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD: the fat that covers the inwards, and all that is upon it;
the fat. All the fat was dedicated to the Lord (vv # Lev. 3: 3-5, Lev # 3: 9-11, Lev # 3: 14-16).
4 the two kidneys, and the fat on them, which is by the flanks, and the liver, which he away with the kidneys.
5 The son of Aaron shall burn it on the altar on the burnt offering that is on the wood on the fire. It is an offering made by fire, an aroma pleasing to the Lord.
6 ¶ And if his offering from the flock, male or female, in thanksgiving unto the LORD, he shall offer it without blemish.

the food. The sacrifice was meant to symbolize a meal between God and the worshiper, where peace and friendship were embodied by the sharing of food.
12 If his offering is a goat, he shall present before the Lord.

17 It shall be a statute forever throughout your generations in all your dwellings you shall eat neither fat nor blood.
neither fat nor blood. The details given in Ch. clearly define the fat to burn and not to eat. So, which adhered to the other parties or there could be eaten was mixed. Like the rest of the Mosaic law, there were also health-related benefits.
